Johnny Miller - Banjo and Vocals

Johnny MillerMeet Johnny Miller, the amazing two-finger banjo picker, and an original cowboy!

John Miller played backup rhythm for his father at a young age and in 1993 went to his first bluegrass festival. He fell in love with the sound of the five string banjo and over the next few years taught himself to play the five string listening to radio recordings and other players.

In the year 2000, he joined Flint Hill Special and has been Glen Wilbourn's steadfast side-kick ever since. Together with their wives, they have traversed the US, entertaining fans with their unique bluegrass sound.

Johnny is also a song-writer and his wonderful compositions are favorites of both the band and fans alike.

Originally from Missouri, Johnny and his wife Joyce now happily reside in Arizona, close to their children, grand-children, and great-grandchildren.

When Johnny's not pickin' he's hittin' garage sales and is a collector of all things "awesome" but only if there are a bargain.
