The freshly reconfigured sound of Flint Hill Special continues the tradition and songs of

Glen Wilbourn and Johnny Miller.

With the recent retirement of our band founder, Glen Wilbourn, the band continues to play traditional bluegrass and Gospel music. You will enjoy the added new emphasis on “first-class” three-part harmony, flat-pick’n and cross-pick’n, a female vocalist singing both lead and harmony and unique instrumentation with distinct different styles.

Our crowd-pleasing performance now has more of a contemporary sound, while still carrying on the deeply steeped tradition of Bluegrass music.  In today’s fast-paced, high-tech world Flint Hill Special takes it up a notch and lets the music breath!

Flint Hill Special will continue the legacy as a Southwest Regional and touring Band. having performed Traditional Bluegrass and Gospel Music since 1984.
